Nashua South Annual Instrumental POPS Concert

Our Annual Pops Concert will begin on Tuesday, May 21st at 6:30pm with a combined piece with our Concert Band and Select Band performing “Symphonic Suite from Star Trek” followed by the Concert Band playing “A Disney Spectacular”, which is a medley of Disney favorites.   The Jazz Band will continue with three selections, Glenn Miller’s – “Pennslyvania 6-5000”, “Stormy Weather” featuring our own Natalie Nguyen on vocals and a fun funk chart, “Absoludicrous”.  We will conclude with two combined pieces featuring our Select Band with special guests from Nashua North Select Band, Bishop Guertin Band, a friend and colleague from Manchester Memorial High School, David Brien (euphonium) and members of our Nashua Music Faculty including Ken Arsenault – Bicentennial and Charlotte Ave. (trumpet), Dominik Belloir – Nashua South (bassoon), Steven Caporale – Elm Street (alto sax), John Cardin – Elm Street (trumpet), Thomas Sousa – Fairground MS (contrabass clarinet), Cindy Velez – Fairgrounds Elementary (bassoon) and Vance White – Nashua South (percussion) - performing “Variations on a Korean Folk Song”  and the “Symphonic Suite from Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves” with a special feature provided for us by our own Video Production’s teacher, Mr. Jeff Leone.  There is no charge for the concert, but donations will be accepted at the door!
